Open for enrolment for
our next Cohort

There’s this disheartening scenario which keeps popping up over and over again.
I’m sure you’ve seen it too.

  • We are all busy
  • We are long on task and short on time
  • We put ourselves second and our work first
  • We often think about development tomorrow, rather than commitment today
  • Every day we see opportunities going to colleagues, some with a pay rise, but not for us

Then comes blame

It's the bad client accounts.

it's poor management support.

It's not me, it's them!

I get frustrated, and sometimes kick out at others.

Then comes self-doubt

That doubting voice in my head saying

"It must be me, I'm not good enough, I'm not smart enough, I'm not connected enough.”

I feel totally paralysed and then hear myself saying "what's the point?"

In that very moment… I have given up!

Relax… you are not alone in this!
It doesn’t need to be like this!

What you are experiencing is normal.

Although it may not feel like it at the time, it is really normal. You can change it, you can figure it out, if you truly want to.

The good news is many people do figure it out, though often with plenty of trial and error, and more than a few negative consequences.

But do you really have time for this?

Yes, we can all figure things out for ourselves, but it just takes more time, which is fine if you have the time right now to do so!

The problem is… We need to have impact now! We need to deliver now!

You need the tools and techniques now, not in 10 years time!

What if, you had a clear roadmap of frameworks,
tools and techniques, to help you become the
"leader others choose to follow?"

Have a simple framework to become a confident and competent leader

Have simple tools to effectively reflect and become fully aware and proactive

Have the techniques to confidently deliver strong performance through highly engaged and empowered teams

Be able to confidently deliver strong performance through a highly engaged team

Create, communicate and deliver a vision to others

Be personally accountable and hold others accountable to deliver on the agreed vision

Be confident and competent to effectively communicate with all colleagues and managers with impact (including managing upwards)

Be confident and competent when dealing with conflict, while maintaining positive relationships

Be effective when onboarding New Starters

“I joined John's Confident Leadership programme on the recommendation of a teammate. Within 1 week, it was worth it. I was able to immediately implement some of his guidance on reflection, accountability and more.

His delivery, credibility and overall quality have shone through in just 10 days, and I am looking forward to the rest of the programme!”

Chris, M.D., Innerfit

(Wellbeing provider to Blue Chip Companies)

Are some of these familiar...

  • You've got the job description, but it doesn’t
tell you “How to” do it!
  • You are doing lots of activity and long hours, which is badly impacting on your home life and personal relationships
  • You feel you have tried everything, and you are working around-the-clock, but nothing get's done
  • You are not getting the results you want and you are becoming paralysed with what to do next
  • You know the senior leaders are talking about you, and you know you are gaining a poor reputation for not getting things done

Well here's a little secret… you're not the only one!

It is common that people…

  • Don’t know how to lead effectively
  • Don’t know how to create and deliver a clear vision
  • Don’t know how to be accountable
  • Don’t know how to develop others
  • Don’t know how to onboard New Starters
  • Struggle to self-reflect
  • Struggle to maintain their own performance
    and that of others
  • Struggle to communicate effectively
  • Struggle to deal with conflict
  • Struggle to be influential
  • And are completely stuck on knowing how to fix it all

And because all of these...

  • They don’t get results
  • They lose confidence in their ability to deliver on their promises
  • They are throwing long hours at it, and still they have no time
  • Which all means, they are stuck in this self-fulfilling cycle, which keeps going round and round and round!

And so they end up…

  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Feeling stuck
  • Feeling frustrated

With no way forward!

And I really get it

Many leaders and managers read books, Google it, watch YouTube,
or follow their manager's example…

And it just might, if they are lucky, work, BUT…

what may have worked for them in their context, might not translate into yours!

You may have been on many training programmes, but struggled to translate the theory into practical day-to-day actions that work.
You may have been on a two-day course and now only use just 15-minutes of
what was taught.

Or you have taken advice from people around you and it didn’t work!

It doesn’t have to be like this!

What if you had a clear roadmap of frameworks, tools and techniques to help you become the "leader others choose to follow?"

And you…

Have a high-performance roadmap for success. You have a clear roadmap that you are committed to and can deliver on, with

A really clear vision of where you need to get to, supported by a robust strategy on how to get there

A solid prioritised plan, which is scheduled and costed, with metrics to measure it

A detailed Personal Development Plan, to ensure you are the best leader and manager you can be

Are ultra-efficient, really focused, and have time to deliver on your work and private life, with

A consistent way of effectively prioritising

A clear and visible system in place to manage your own workflow, and to effectively manage your own performance,  and that of others

A simple way to effectively delegate to others

Have a high-performing team which consistently delivers, leaving you free to focus on where you can add the most value, giving you the springboard for promotion, with

A fully engaged, focused and high performing team

Robust Personal and Team Development Plans

Tools to effectively onboard new team members

I will show you how to get these things,
to become a Confident Leader, and
“be the Leader Others Choose to Follow”.

The Confident Leader programme

If you want to rapidly become a leader others choose to follow, become more influential, and have far more impact, then the Confident Leader programme will transform your leadership over a 90-day intense experience.

We’ll work together, 1-2-1, and in a group to build your road map, help you to become ultra-efficient and support you to harness the power of a high-performing team.

Working with our proven model of leadership development, and fully endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management, you will build your confidence and capability to lead with resilience in every situation.

Following our Confident Leader Model™ as a path you will be able to say:

1. I am aware of what is actually happening

2. I have the intent to do something about it

3. I choose what I will do

4. I have the capability (Attitude, Skills, and Knowledge) to do something about it

5. I have the commitment to do something about it

6. I take action and do it

But how do you know it will work?

I asked Growing Vision to assist in creating a bespoke training programme for my first line team of managers and supervisors at Pall Ilfracombe (UK).  The situation I faced was one where legacy talent within my leadership team had been allowed to deplete their management skills over literally decades, meaning that I was unable to create a cultural change/engagement programme whilst simultaneously running this 700 person $0.5bn revenue facility.

During the period of the training we moved the key metric for the site (on time delivery in full) from <48% to >95%.  John carefully coached all the teams to ensure that they were focussed on their individual development, the team project as well as considering their capability to grow and develop their careers.

Subsequent to the training 40% of the candidates went on to be promoted or to the on larger roles within the organisation.  They each learned the critical elements of leadership and finished the course recognising the expectations of the organisation as well as the numerous benefits of effective leadership.

I joined John's Confident Leadership programme on the recommendation of a teammate. Within 1 week, it was worth it. I was able to immediately implement some of his guidance on reflection, accountability and more. His delivery, credibility and overall quality have shone through in just 10 days, and I am looking forward to the rest of the programme!

C.P., MD, Wellbeing Company
(Delivering to Blue chip Global companies)

My initial approach to John at Growing Vision was to help with significant relationship issues between member of the HR team at the Council. We had previously worked with John for a number of years as he provided our Management and Leadership training courses as well as some other soft skills development for employees and coaching, and as all of these things have been delivered to an extremely high standard and feedback has been excellent, we did not hesitate to contact him for this new requirement, as we were aware it was also an area of expertise for him. The delivery that has been undertaken by John has always run smoothly, feedback has been excellent, and he is well remembered for a long time after the events. He is described amongst our staff as "legendary" and has proven to be an extremely hard act to follow.

N.S, Head of HR Operations,
UK Borough Council

Having previously worked with John on a site wide leadership programme I approached him to help facilitate a training day for managers, to ensure that they were able to take ownership of College priorities or day to day issues and understood what was expected of them by the College. The opening session felt as though a lightbulb had been turned on, and helped set scene for the remaining days. The attendees were focussed and engaged and felt able to share their experiences, whilst feeling they were being listened to. Subsequent to the sessions, we have seen improved ownership and determination from those who took part. I would have no hesitation in recommending John and Growing Vision for Leadership and Coaching.

K.C., HR Director,
UK Further Education College

Both my team and I attended John's 'Think Leadership' training. We all enjoyed the training and develop a connection with John. Therefore when I took a new role leading a very disjointed team which had not had a manager for over two years, I asked John if he would be able to create a bespoke workshop to help bring the team together, with common and shared objectives and values. The fact that John already knew our business and its challenges very well helped give a very tangible spin to the conversations we had, and the team finally started behaving as a team. In difficult situations, the team was able to refer back to the simple core values identified during the workshop and to recognise the team's identity and its purpose. John also supports our business with one-to-one coaching sessions and I can see the positive impact that these and the workshop are having on myself and many colleagues around me.

E.A., Senior Programme Manager,
Aerospace

We were looking for training for new managers who had been recently promoted, and with a view to having an ongoing, consistent program for new managers as and when they were promoted. Having previously worked with John on a management training program with a previous employer, I knew that John could deliver the training in leadership, management, prioritising, planning, coaching, team working, interviewing and dealing with conflict and difficult issues that we were looking for. The delivery, structure and content of the material/messages has made it possible for us to continually reinforce the training program internally so the subjects discussed are not lost; this has meant that the training has a long-term value to us, rather than it being a course you "go on" and then forget about when back at work. As a result, these new managers have grown in confidence when dealing with personnel issues and have settled into their new roles by fully understanding what it means to manage a team. For the most part, the manager peer-group is working well together and they are continuing to use the material and their shared experiences to help them deal with their day-to-day challenges.

V. J. HR Director

Having met John at Growing Vision, our Leadership Team (liking his style, and understanding of the business and challenges we faced) engaged his services to help us address the lack of focus on Leadership skills and development in our middle management group. We had limited use of coaching practice and a low level of employee engagement. Since working with John, our leaders are speaking common language (making reference to the training they received) and their development has had a direct impact at the plant.

J.S. Director,
Talent and Engagement

After just 8 weeks on John's Confident Leader programme, I can already say I am becoming just that, a Confident Leader! John's attitude, knowledge and passion for all things leadership are evident in everything he does and has certainly been transferred to me as a Course Participant. I look forward to each week's materials being released and the 1-2-1 Tutorial sessions and Weekly Group Calls are hugely beneficial to share learning, experience and keep me focused on my own objectives and development. Thank you John, this Course has set me up for life!

EL, Director of Operations

I completed this course many years ago with John and still use the learnings even to this day, it truly changed the way I approached situations I’ve faced during my career and helped me become the leader I am today.
